Michael Yawn? Yep changed the channel.
Good One!
He does take side trips…
Yet, I like his paradigm model; in regards to what’s behind these wars, and other new’s stories.
Mass famine[in the billions], purposed supply-chain disruptions, energy shortages, etc.
Like Jagerneister, an acquired taste.
I remember the massive 1980’s sales campaign, “be cool, drink Jagermeister” aimed at a younger market since the original staid blue collar German drinkers couldn’t be convinced to drink more after dinner since it was designed as an after dinner aperitif. The American importer had an exclusive contract to sell it here so he launched a very successful ad campaign to convince young folks to imbibe as a popular party beverage. I tasted some back then, Horrible stuff…56 different herbs with all kinds of crap thrown in…,the bottle looked good, the contents? Ug. It was quite popular with Herman Goring when he was appointed the Reich Hunting Master over animals and forests. Jagermeister means something like “master of the hunt”, referring to the person responsible for the forest where game is hunted. I suppose back in the 1980’s it would appeal to those “on the hunt” at single s bars. Nice Nazi drink…
I had a friend who drank it like no tomorrow.
When I tasted my first shot.
No hands down for winning the 20th-Worst Century Liquor Tasting.
Adsolutely Revolting!
BUT…
After too many?
Well, I learned what acquired taste means.
Real homemade MOONSHINE is par excellance!
A Tennessee Sergeant had some shipped from “home”.
THE BEST!
Straight-Ahead SMOOTH & Soul-Seizing POTENT!
As WC Fields said,
“Those were the days!
Glad they’ll NEVER Come Again!”
Yes met a guy from Tennessee who used to bring gallons of moonshine with him to last him while wintering down in south Texas. He sponsored a margarita hour every day and mixed the moonshine with tequila…he made excellent margaritas!
