The problem is that China can not defend its shores satisfactorily as their ships can not travel further than about 200 miles off shore for lack of fuel to power them. China is literally starving and all the threats they make are actually pretty futile. No matter how they spin it, China is dependent on the US and it is going down with the ship.

I think there’s more and more ‘leaders’ who don’t want to give up their ‘thrones’ even if it’s only a soap box.
