2 hour video that covers an economic history of over 3,000 years; with a focus on religions.
Drawing from Professor Hudson’s new book :
Temples of Enterprise/Creating Economic Order In the Bronze Age March 12, 2024
Those who were in the ‘Old World’ used their ‘religions’ in a different way than the people living in North, South and Central America, aka the New World. Those peoples knew that ‘land’ could not be owned, and they had no understanding of ‘debt’. They also had no religions, although they all held various spiritual beliefs.
I wonder what they would think of water and the Sun light being owned[Spain’s tax on sunshine]?
Bolivia showed the world; about the owning of water.[Bechtel]
No expert on the various beliefs the First Americans held. I do remember they had strong spiritual beliefs, and the idea of ‘owning’ any of those things was not possible.
Allow me to add another thought here on Professor Hudson’s analysis where he writes: “Until Roman Catholicism, there were all the different religions were living together. In Jerusalem, for instance, there were Christian churches, Islamic churches, and the Orthodox churches. There was no hatred of people with a different religion. It was Christianity that said, well, we have to have an oligarchy taking over, and that oligarchy has to support the church.”
Let me make an observation and say Christianity is not the problem. The main issue is covered in great detail by Dr. Farrell in his new book, “A Pious Man Mistranslated a Word and Split Europe”. Kelly Em interviewed JPF on the book, and it is very enlightening and informative. Joseph P Farrell, A Pious Man Mistranslated a Word and Split Europe

Very correct in analysis: no longer capable of making distinction, without opposition.
A strictly binary way of thinking.
