I don’t think anybody assert it was secred. Similar trip was made on the eve of Ukrainian war in December of 2021.
Maybe the attack was aimed at taking out a US Air Force C-17A Globemaster III, identified by flight trackers as RCH4555. The flight originated from Joint Base Andrews to Riga on Sunday evening before continuing on Tuesday to Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport. Later that day a motorcade with US diplomatic plates was spotted in central Moscow.
If true then the CIA could, or may want get rid of folks sympathetic to Moscow’s diplomatic positions, but blame it all on Russia’s inability to protect American agents. Who could prove anything else?

For those wondering about the use of the C-17 cargo plane to transport Ratcliffe into Russia, the answer to that should be in the video cited by beaver in this post.
According the source in that video, the US Military has entire interchangeable “pods”/units that can be simply slid into the cargo bay of a C-17.
In the case of Rattcliffe, they inserted some type of “intelligence working/living quarters” par excellence, right into the belly of the plane. This “pod” even contained a so-called SCIF (“Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility”).

Maybe its a UK thing, Times radio interview with military ‘experts’ framed it as secret talks which is obviously ridiculous but hey, thats fruitcake Blighty for you.
There was mention of a US motorcade after landing, were vehicles in the cargo hold too? As the head of a faction of the deep state CIA, he would need to be “plugged” in even away from home.

… As Q pointed out above … so we conducted a “secret mission” using the second largest aircraft In the US Air Force? Its top speed is 570 mph. I can not imagine it has much in the way of defensive capabilities. Seems like a relatively easy target. Strange indeed.

They just like to use the word secret to seem cooler and in charge. It’s just a meeting between Nazi Intl, US Deep State and the Russkis.

… Well, the CIA is in, shall we say, the commodity transport business. Maximum transport capacity is 170, 900 lbs. At current street value almost 90 tons translates into a lot of arms for the “contras” wherever, whoever and of whatever kind they may be at this point in time. There will be no wasted transport opportunities.
I sometimes wonder if they just dangle this nonsense out in front of us to stir the pot, lots of heat, not so much light.
