Darwin Award Alert ! Man refused to comply with a "requestor's" "request" for French Fries and the "requestee" refused. So the "requestor" shot the "requestee" in the head and killed him

… great new addition to the language … “Requestor” - is a person who requests X from you and when you do not give them the “requested” X they shoot you in the head. I have added this word to my self created supplement to Ambrose Bierce’s The Devil’s Dictionary.

“Did I ask for fries?”

(slight language warning)

“Education**, n. That which discloses to the wise and disguises from the foolish their lack of understanding.”

–Love me some Ambrose Bierce. The first time I read “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge” as a young man… it scared me a bit. Years later “Jacob’s Ladder” seemed to have been been influenced by this as well (just me?).

Had thought I’d read somewhere that he died on a clandestine treasure-hunt but, at my age, probably unwittingly blending two persons histories… No one knows I guess…

Here’s an article I found just now while trying to augment my jaunt down memory lane…
