According to him, the clash is connected with the kidnapping of the deputy commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps ❶ (RDC❶) Stepan Kaplunov❷ .
At the same time, there was information that Kaplunov ❷ may soon be released. Allegedly, such a promise was made by an authorized representative of the SBU.
This information is confirmed by some Ukrainian media, referring to the statement of the SBU press service. They said that together with the GUR, they prevented an assassination attempt on “one of the leaders of the Russian opposition national movement.”
