If the goal is to use AI language models to power the surveillance grid, then the only real answer to the energy storage problem is fusion. Lockheed Martin has been working with fusion tech since they took over Farnsworth’s fusor, and nothing else comes close. Lithium batteries? Inefficient and risky, just look at EVs catching fire. Hydrogen cells didn’t pan out, and renewables like solar and wind are a joke in this context. Since energy is the line item of largesse on the P&L for the problem of the AI bubble, equipping these data storage and processing centers with autonomous power plants is the only viable option.
That helps explain the “disappearance” of previous fusion folks and their devices… saving it for the big boys in the future.
Think Germans are well on way to fixing the energy aspect of then AI equation at least. Record-Breaking Results Bring Fusion Power Closer to Reality | Scientific American
On the nuclear front, thermonuclear fusion, the endlessly rebranded “cold fusion,” now dressed up as LENR, and the latest parade of “breakthroughs” ignoring the likes of gravitationally-confined or electrodynamically-driven hydrogen fusion—it’s all just a colossal waste. Not even the bottomless pit of DARPA’s funding can rescue this mess.
For all the noise and hype over four decades, almost none of these so-called excess energy devices or their pet theories have withstood real scientific or technical scrutiny. The real tragedy here? We’ve watched as basic science itself gets twisted and falsified, all to keep the circus going. “Cold fusion” quietly morphed into LENR, and now even the weird world of anomalous plasma discharges is getting swept into the act, as if lumping failed ideas together somehow makes them credible.
Fusion was fully viable following the vacuum tube work of P. Farnsworth II and have swept into the mass suppression efforts of the “Breakaway” technofascists.
Honestly, this kind of twisted thinking was inevitable, given that both mainstream and so-called “alternative” physics theories can’t even get the basics of electrodynamics right. They don’t really understand what an electron is or what it actually does, let alone what it can’t do. So why would anyone expect their grasp of nuclear physics to be any better? It’s laughable and worse, they’ve laughed and derided the great men who made a genuine physics of the energy continuum out of existence.
Evidently they know enough about the science to subtly skew a few equations to sabotage the results to protect their domains.
The first imperative of every established institution and/or organisation, is its own survival and and that of its hierarchy.
Since Babel moment, this is a severely important Truth.
Yes, I suspect people like Tesla and Aspden have the corollaries within the ontic shadow realm, who despite immense capacity, serve as the tote-boys for power. We certainly see them forward facing in the vaccine and COVID debacle.
C.P. Steinmetz for all he has given to my understanding was such a man, who in the face of power, chose to stab the Good in the back, drawing upon Judeo-Atheism and tried to destroy Tesla’s patents for GE & RCA.
And it appears the AI is just a fraud to cover-up the economic decline. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBWsINGd0x4&t=6338s
