I’m rewatching this. Around the 33 min mark Kurt Debus is introduced as being not a rocket scientist per se, but rather specializing in high energy plasma. Given his role in the launches themselves, could this explain the “X” factor that may have been involved in the program, especially getting off the moon, as I believe is an idea Dr Farrell has put across?

… We seemed to be attempting to quietly distance ourselves from Nazi Scientists and Paperclip … then it is announced that we are moving the U.S. Space Command’s (USSPACECOM) new operational headquarters to Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, Wouldn’t this just serve to refocus attention back on all things Nazi and Paperclip?

And to think that Trump was pushing for the operational move to Alabama, possibly associated with Nazis. The Colorado base might be thought of as the other faction who wants control. Are there any “good” choices?
