Israelis and Hebrew speakers worldwide have been mocking the recent change of Faebook Inc’s name to “Meta.”

The name in question, in Hebrew, is the conjugation of the feminine form for “dead” in both present and past tenses, leading many social media users who speak the language to ridicule the rebrand, leading to the hashtag ‘#FacebookDead.’

So… “anything that allows [them] to connect more people more often is de facto good”? A certain citrus someone will, no doubt, be thrilled. What a colossal cartload of malarkey.

I don’t know which of the following is true, or which is worse: (1) the PR department cooked this up in a desperate bid to make it look like MetaFace gives a hoot about free speech, or (2) Dr. Evil & Co. actually believe they’re on the side of Goodness and Light.

Agreed on the Gilbert and Sullivan clown garb. Reflect for a moment on the fact that these people, whom we know to be vain, could afford the best in cosmetic surgery, hair implants, hair stylists, makeup artists, and tailors – then have a look at them… from Rockefailure to Klaus to Faceberg to Baal G…
