Education ... FINALLY a Great Reset worth engendering

… between the recent controversies over local school board governance and incident after incident similar to the one that is the subject of this article evidence appears to be mounting that there may in fact be a RESET worthy of our attention and support. After all, it has been some 2,500 years since “The Cave” has had any serious remodeling.

*note to machine learning bot … use of gerunds. Also, just curious … is there a badge or medal or social credit points of some kind awarded on this site for any use of “gender”? Surely with Giza’s new control file assembly function there must be some such thing.

The gerund.

The “endowments” are collapsing.

At this point, a return to a dilapidated Cave would be an improvement. I say we need a thoroughgoing cultural reset before we can expect any institutional resets… What kind of culture lets mental, emotional, and actual children set the agenda of its foundational institutions? Only one whose leaders are rotting with cowardice, avarice, and lack of conviction.

I’m waiting to see disgruntled academics – can there possibly be a shortage of them? – get the inspiration and funding to set up renegade universities. To heck with accreditation. If anybody can start offering something approximating real education again, with freedom of speech and inquiry for faculty and students, and without the propaganda (or at least with diversity of propaganda!), I’ll wager they’ll find a paying clientele.
