Ah, Witten (real name Kohen). It’s intriguing to consider whether his theoretical concepts with the public genuinely reflect his beliefs or if he’s simply a follower (and purveyor) of another trendy ideology, duping the masses. Witten partakes in the current craze of brane theory or M-theory, which postulates an 11-dimensional spacetime occupied not just by one-dimensional strings but also by two-dimensional membranes, three-dimensional ‘blobs’ (three-branes), and entities spanning up to nine dimensions – let’s not overlook anti-branes and zero-branes, which includes Weinstein particularly. Witten is the Albert Einstein of the 21st century, while M-theory appears as an obscure mathematical jumble, much like its predecessor, Relativity. All busy body brain-stirring and zero real applications.
