… too bad. I would have liked to have seen Putin go into Brussels and get those Russian assets and take the “unelected” EU with him back to Russia.

I doubt that was ever on Putin’s social schedule, I r4eckon he values his peace of mind more than have to occupy Brussels and Strasburg.

… I know … but that really would have been fun to watch. Who knows … maybe later next year.
He could have built them a “special” Gulag that looked exactly like their buildings.

He does present a better leadership option by a country mile. Doubt I’d object as long as he would govern fairly.

… Exactly, what would be so bad if Putin ran Europe?

Right now Russia appears to be more representative of the “European values” that are incessantly referenced by the current incumbents.

… and Europe would have reliable supplies of natural gas and oil. Electricity and Heat for the people!

Had they acted to agree the security and economic trade agreements back in the early 90s, both Europe (incl Russia) and USA would have had a massive trade/political/military/bulwark to the Chinese, the Indians as well as Japan and Taiwan.
