It is scary that the 15 minute city is now being subdivided into areas in which the authoritarian rules apply.

ANPR cameras will probably be vandalized faster than the smog cameras were.

I live in what I consider my 15 minute city. Pretty much everything I need is within a15 minute drive.
Today I had an errand that took a 30 minute drive there and 30 minutes home. Glad I don’t have to do that all the time.
It would require a heck of a lot of expensive infrastructure and social engineering to get south Texas onboard for one. Walking or riding a bike in 100 degree weather ain’t gonna fly. Public transportation buses are rarely seen in the traffic flow though they exist.
