Exorcisms In Europe

Exorcisms might seem like something that only happens in movies nowadays, but they still very much occur. This map shows the number of exorcisms that were conducted in Europe in 2016. It’s actually really surprising how many official exorcisms were conducted. Some of these countries also make a little bit of sense, such as Italy considering that’s where the Catholic church is based, but others took us by surprise.

Herefordshire, in the west midlands(UK) is known for having a particularly high instance of it… They call it “Ministry of Deliverance” these days… I lived in Hereford for 20 some years, it’s still very much “The Old Gods” there…

The reason that Poland is high on the list is that most people are taking their faith seriously there, and there are lots of priests who are trained in this particular deliverance ministry.

You mean they’re generally pagan, or does the area have its own specific gods?

Oh you know, new age/Pagan… Not upfront, but things don’t change much in rural areas… Things stay as they are while paying lip service to modernity…

@Melxicedek the text in your posted is formatted funny in a little box, not sure what causes that to happen but would be easier to read if you can try editing that to see what caused that, might just be an indentation or something triggers text box.

Thanks for editing that, lot easier to read now that I can see whole paragraph instead of having to scroll one really long line of text!

 Check this happens with indentation for some reason wonder why. Blah blah blah scroll scroll scroll.

Wonder what makes exorcisms “official” enough to make this list, not the sort of thing everyone would really want to advertise to the world.

An accurate map would have much higher numbers of this in southeast Europe that’s where most of the demons are.

@Melxicedek

The Catholic, Lutheran and other churches also include the exorcism rite during baptism. While any priest might be able to exorcise, I would not for the world tell any lay person that they have authority to exorcise demons. That is pure madness, IMO and a good way to get someone injured.

In The U.S., there are priests who are consecrated, well-trained exorcists and they say that depending upon the situation, it can take hours, days, weeks and even months! A few have taken years. Auxilium Christianorum is one such group and they are not the non-denominational hokey hands-on-head type either. There are many people who’ve been to every kind of doctor under the sun, then, exorcised by their group and and got well. There is a process to be followed before anyone reaches an exorcist and only 1 out of well over 100 ever need to get to the exorcism stage in the process.

There are numerous kinds of demonic activity and I will attached a couple of videos in a separate post below. Meanwhile, let me show you a video that I saw a couple of hours ago. It does not show the particular act in question, but there can be no doubt that there’s intense demonic activity involved in such a person. Watch the face and you tell me if you or any lay person should try to exorcise this guy, given that he asks for and qualifies for such; not a doubt in my mind, he qualifies, but I’m not an expert. Remember that the demonic can give people super-human strength.

I’m not meaning to sound angry with you but I do have to say that any churchman, regardless of denomination, who made such statements to a church lay person should be run away from just as fast as your legs and feet can manage it! RUN!

Just another day at the office…Sick.
