Federal student loans

I’m having some difficulty trying to tell if the calls I’ve been getting about student loans are scams or legitimate. I have about 10k in federal student loans that are currently being held by nelnet, and signed up with a program that may or not “forgive” these loans with a few months of $239 payments. So this sounds obviously like a scam with just that information but I’m not 100% sure.

They did charge my debit card for a $1 fee showed up as "STUDENT LOAN WI STUDENT LOAN WIZARD725-2402158 NVUS today.

This morning they called me because first payment didn’t go through because I didn’t have that cash on hand, I told them I’m broke and unemployed and can’t make any promises about any payments but still they ask “when can you schedule a payment?” So I said March 11th.

Then they called me again this afternoon and the number was flagged as “scam likely” and when I talked to a rep they said “how can I help you?” and I was all like uh . . . I just answered the phone, you called me.

Anyway I think there are some legitimate “forgiveness” programs for student debt but if they require payments then how is that forgiveness?

I apologize in advance, if this sounds rude, but you probably won’t get much sympathy around here on this topic. It has never been easier to find work in our lifetime. You can literally sit through an interview over the computer, in your underwear, with a business half way around the world. You can search for and apply for jobs, also in your underwear, over the computer whilst binging your favorite dose of Netflix poison. McDonalds is paying $17/hr starting here in Nebraska. I do NOT agree with student loan forgiveness. You entered a contract of your own free will, as an adult, and took on the debt. Put you big boy/girl pants on, lace up your work boots and get it done the way its always been done, through hard work and perseverance.

Out of curiosity, did you obtain a degree and if so, in what study?

My major is called “three dimensional forum” and I have minors in art history and architecture.

This is a confusing statement that “you do not agree” with student loan forgiveness, I guess you are saying you don’t agree that any loans should be forgiven?

My post had “forgiveness” in quotes because what these agencies are doing doesn’t even seem to be that.

College tuition has ballooned massively because of the white supremacists who don’t want colleges taken over by immigrants but it is too late for that already.

What about debtor prisons who want to bring those back?

I would suggest that the o.p. obtain a collegiate dictionary. Then find the definition of “Forgiveness”.

I forgive you for posting that.

I did not beg your “forgiveness”.

Filed a report with the FTC about this here:

’Tis the season for student loan scam calls | FTC Consumer Information.

Most people won’t qualify for actual forgiveness from the department of education there are very strict requirements for this based on how much debt is owed and what an individual’s current income level is.

So no response from the FBI about this report or any report I’ve ever filed with them, does anyone know what is going on with the FBI these days?

I did hear back from nelnet, they mentioned they have no affiliation with these third party companies that are marketing to students with federal loans to help with filling paperwork for the forgiveness process. I signed up for loans originally with the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation but they sold these loans to nelnet without consulting me about that no idea why.

Anyway so really the only reason why I brought this up here at all is because student loans have been mentioned in interviews here in the alternative media field as being part of a campaign to enslave future generations, and it looks like a lot of people here are indeed in support of keeping the youth enslaved in the old world paradigm based on these responses on this thread congratulations to Ronin for five hearts on your post.

So while this thread really didn’t turn out that well so far, I will try again with at least one more post.

I did not qualify for student loans at all until after my 24th birthday, as anyone whose family makes over a certain threshold of income is considered the property of that family and does not qualify for federal student aid in any way regardless of if that family has already completely abandoned them after their 18th birthday when they no longer have any legal obligation to ensure they don’t stave to death.

Not going to volunteer any more information right now, just trying to clarify some false assumptions that seem to be going on.

The government didn’t want any money for student loans over the past few years because of the communism virus but am supposed to start payments soon about $120 a month for three loans in all $12,000 is what I owe the feds.

I own over ten dictionaries by the way.
