Felix Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in Em - Jascha Heifetz/Royal Philharmonic 1949

+++ When I first heard this recording, I began crying uncontrollably by the middle of the first movement. I have since listened to many other recordings of the concerto by Heifetz and many others and none affected this way. I believe that it is the virtually flawless performances of both Heifetz and Sir Thomas Beecham and their mind-body unification in spirit (shin-shin toitsu ki in Japanese Aikido terminology) which caused my release of old, stagnant ki (energy/spirit). +++

The old fashioned vibrato! THAT’S OLD SCHOOL!
