Now to the correct question … The number that is being bandied about is 41.7 million, million with an M. the correct question (allowing for this number to be considered true and also knowing that of that number a substantial portion are criminal invaders [the fact that they are here makes them criminals] or those on WIC [taxpayers providing for others “oops” episodes] ) is: How on God’s Green Earth did we allow a program such as this to grow to 41.7 million people? If other numbers are to be believed (the Census) that would mean that 12% are in this program. Let that number sink in for a minute. In the article there is a (alleged) picture of a Food Bank line. If so … there are some pretty Ok looking cars in that queue. … and then there is the question of the time involved in waiting.

Recently got some 1940s nickels some of which were made with silver during WWII, haven’t got these analyzed at a coin shop yet but friend scanned a few with a coin app that says some are worth about $2 in todays dollars, cool.
There are eleven “War Nickels” (1942-45), that is U.S. 5 cent coins made from an alloy of 56% copper, 35% silver and 9% manganese. Each coin weighs the standard 5 grams and contains .05626 oz. pure silver.
Nickel was in short supply during the war years and eliminating that material from the 5 cent coin alleviated part of the shortage. All the “War Nickels” can be identified by a large mint mark over the dome of Monticello on the reverse. 1944 Nickels with no mint mark are counterfeit.
