I would be greatly surprised if Mr Kono does not become Prime Minister. Japanese colleagues tell me he has close personal associations in the military and business sectors and that in Kyoto there are those close to the Chrysanthemum Throne who think we’ll of him.
Seems Fumio has a good chance as well…
