From carl sagan's book "the demon-haunted world"

I have always believed it is the parents responsibility to make sure their child is getting their work in. I am happy to give parents a call and tell them their child is struggling, but after that, in my eyes, it is their responsibility to follow up. But 9 times out of 10, it is the parents who caused the problem in the first place. I would love to know how many of those non-proficient Hispanic students do any reading outside of school… My guess would be zero.

Too many factors are involved to reason why.

Sounds like system is set up so everyone will pass regardless of doing any schoolwork, don’t know what country that is you teach middle school?

Colleges are a lot different, one course I wasn’t prepared for presentation to review board at mid-term, and that made it almost completley impossible to pass course and professor didn’t even hesitate to write in a failing grade that goes on permanent record for the rest of my life no way to change that.

Hope you can have a better career somewhere else.
