there are several “signs” here. Mark Snow - music, also music on X-Files and I think he’s been credited with some scores on La Femme Nikita, American version TV show original, Millenium also. Producer Lawrence Hertzog went on to collaborate with Joel Surnow, who you will find as a writer on this show, to do La Femme Nikita. Surnow was responsible for 24. Throw in the Lone Gunman and Millenium and you’ll find several of the same names. I don’t know how many Herzog collaborated with. La Femme Nikita gained a cult following as many recognized this short of budget, but cleverly created, show as a preview of the future. All of the shows borrowed from others and probably from The Prisoner the most. If you liked Nowhere Man, you probably will enjoy La Femme Nikita if you haven’t seen it.
The film Le Femme Nikita is a good one as well. Named my second daughter after her. Strong female without the woke.
the french version is very good. then there is The Point of No Return and then the original TV spin off. Not the second, the first.
It’s quite amazing how the entertainment industry back then knew so much how and what the intelligent agencies were doing and the real world worked. Who was telling these folks all this stuff? Intelligence orgs have been around forever.
Surnow is no joke. He wrote “The Equalizer”, a bunch of Miami Vice episodes and “The Kennedy clan” as well.
