To paraphrase for effect: “Remember that highly publicised apocalyptic mind-control program? Good. Now, remember the trauma you all just went through for the last few years, [buzzword]? Good. Now that you’re in a state of panic-induced trance, we want to slip the suggestion in that you’re going to subject to more of the same, even though we’ve just said we have no idea whether or not our imaginary scenario poses any threat to you - except that we do know it doesn’t pose a threat to you, because we just made it up, but there’s no way you can know that because we’re the clever ones, and you’re all stupid.”
