Like Gandalf the wizard, he’s coming out exactly when he means to. It’s the same old thing, illustrated in 4 acts below:
Act 1: “Oops, everyone. I accidentally invented and worked on this thing for 20 years and was paid a fortune to do so. I now regret my actions. Please ignore my investments.”
Act 2: "I know recognise the error of my ways and have got some tips for your news station on how to deal with this new thing… for a small fee, of course. I am but an unemployed scientist "
Act 3:“Why yes, Mr Government, I will reluctantly take on the difficult job of setting up a regulatory authority to monitor and create laws for you. I am a civil servant now, please pay me a big pension”
Act 4: Implement the scheme the business cooked up right from the start.
I happens so often, I wonder how people keep getting away with it.
