Good discussion. Reminded me of the secessionist groups in the USA (Texit etc). Similar social and economic issues to resolve. No one is sufficiently dissatisfied (yet) to make the move.

The naval power era is what’s coming to an end, because of these MHD based precision weapons (hypersonic is just one example of plasma tech applied to military). As more tech based on that is rolled out, freedom of navigation by any superpower will become next to impossible.
This echoes Marduk the thunder god; killing the serpent of wisdom Tianmat. Or Zeus vs the leviathan or whichever version of the myth you prefer.
After that a period of the strong men of renown, a new age of the Taurus. This is needed as international trade that provided high standards of living becomes more difficult. Trump is the perfect embodiment of that coming era.
After that period elapses the technological singularity will happen somewhere around mid-century and its like going back to the Saturn “golden” age (not sure how golden).
