It was less than a month ago that Chinese astronomers and scientists using the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST) announced they had picked up strange signals that they believed showed all of the signs that they were from an intelligent civilization. That announcement was quickly taken down, leading some to believe it was being covered up by the Chinese government. That means the best known “I want to believe it’s aliens” signal is still the famous Wow! signal recorded on August 15, 1977, by The Ohio State University’s Big Ear radio telescope while scanning part of the constellation Sagittarius.
