I’m interested in the myterious history of King Ludwig II of Bavaria and his castles and his love of art and preservation of old German mythology through art – the mind-boggling artistry in the architecture, and everything it took to get craftspeople skilled to create such masterpieces. An old 1955 German film had scenes set in some of the castles, and really, the artistry of the setting is captivating for one’s imagination.
And after he was deposed – an entry point for paving the way for a stark turn in, and greying of, culture…
