Ah, Dr. Charles “Patsy” Lieber. I truly hope people are not buying this story. This one is so easy to figure out, it’s downright silly. No Harvard professor, esp. one in the Sciences would lend himself out to China for $750K/yr. That’s just plain nuts! The Chinese build a multi-million dollar lab and Lieber settles for $750K per year leasing himself out to them? Get real!
One of 2 scenarios is likely here. #1 The Chinese contact Dr., U.S. Intel (USI) finds out about it and tells him to play along with Chinese & USI would protect him etc. when done. That was at least part of the promise; I don’t know what the threat was. #2 Lieber, by some means, middle-man (maybe even Fauci) or other, was told Chinese were looking for someone with his credentials, USI found out about it, told him to go along, made him a promise, or…(insert threat here). Either way works.
Outcome: #1 The arrest and conviction of Lieber is part of the plan to eventually put him in witness protection of some kind, or some other arrangement and USI has kept their word to Lieber. #2 USI turned on Lieber like the dawgs they’ve been known to be and the Dr. is a patsy of sorts.
$750K is NOTHING compared to the millions he could have garnered from such a deal with China. No way I believe this BS story.

You make a good point! So, consider how a trial might implicate Harvard in the Lieber case. Since there are those who do not want their own misconduct to be laid bare. Leiber lied about the Thousand Talents Program, which is something that universities, like Harvard consider to be a good thing. So, sure he got paid some money from the Chinese, money that was basically to cover his traveling espenses, but he lied about it. Why? As you noted, the guy was wealthy.
Leiber is also a very brilliant scientist who developed a teeny, tiny transistor that could be replicated in a ‘virus’. It worked by having the ‘virus’ attach itself to a cell, and change its genetic sequence.
He was known to have made several trips to Wuhan, China where work was being done at the lab to take a wild bat virus, and transmute it into a virus that would be capable of jumping species, i.e. into humans. Fauci, who has worked in every presidential administration for decades, was also implicated in the whole fiasco. So, when one considers Fauci and Pres Obama also made a trip together to Wuhan, China to give the Chinese some grant money, this could really turn into a big deal.

China is blackmailing Dr Fauci. If China reveals the lab and its WHO mandate signed by Fauci, to be exposed, bat viruses grafted into the common cold, weaponizing the bug, illegal and lying covering up even altering the meaning of “gain of function” to avoid liability for the deceptive negligence, then Fauci is exposed as a liar, a conspirator, a supervisor and signatory to the experiment, therefore he’s responsible for the death of 800,000 Americans if you buy into the current “cause of death policy” where dying with covid positive test is equal to dying of covid because covid made you Sick and killed you, which are soooo not the same, meaning 800k is inflated, to what degree we don’t know. But, Fauci is 100% dependent upon China remaining silent as to origins, understandable given they are co implicated by virtue of the labs location and The Who agreement. This is criminal genocidal negligence
Fauci does not need to be blackmailed by his cohorts. In other words, Fauci does the blackmailing, not the other way around. So, in plain words, Fauci is an ‘inside’ man, and part of the problem… Fauci has been part of every US Presidential administration for several decades. ‘just sayin’

There’s so much blame openly being put on China, I have to wonder if we’re being heavily diverted away from the complete story. Not saying China isn’t a part of this, just wondering if perhaps they’re not the player we’re being told they are. For me, Trumps’ “China, China, China” is a bit too obvious.
Re: Fauci, I would think it’s more like he’s the one (or more) being blackmailed and not the blackmailer.
Since Gain-of-Function is illegal in every Western country I know of, I have to speculate that those who wanted to pursue it anyway might have made a rich deal with China , still undisclosed, in exchange for Lord knows what, in order to carry out this “research”. In this way, there really are no records to be subpoenaed & they do as they like & say what they please.
As for conflict with China, I think this is theater. Aside from The Fed, China holds an enormous amount of U.S. Treasuries, which they have not dumped. If China really wanted to hurt us, they’d dump them. Could be they’re keeping the bonds as an ace in the hole, IDK, but feel way too much direction toward China.
