Would the publicly “stated” goals necessarily be the “actual” goals of the invisible hand that’s directing the stage?
… We can only know what we are told. The rest is speculation. What if there are in fact no “actual” goals of any kind anywhere to be found? What if the “goal” is simply to set off a chain of irrational or unrelated goals or a “simple crisis”? After all one should “Never let a good crisis go to waste”.

Maybe… yes. Maybe they’ve packed it in with “goals” despite constant cackle about “missions and values and goals”.
Or even: what if there are all kinds of “goals” being launched in all directions, every which way, by all kinds of “goal” setters — with 8.3 billion people scurrying around, all too eager to satisfy whatever goals one is told to carry out (for whatever remunerations), these entities’ “goals” are bound to be bumping about in an imbroglio -
