Just .9 million would be helpful, I could see 314 being too much.

No way @Bahri ! I’ll take the $300+M!
Where are you pulling $900K from anyway?
The guy collected less that $2M after taxes, etc.

What, tax was 312 million on that?

I don’t have $900k was just saying that is already a lot, don’t know what I would need over 300 million for.

They built a whole new building for the Burke Natural History museum for only 100 million, so I guess if you wanted to build three new museums you might need 300 million for that.

There was at least 25% federal tax on the $300M+ he won, then, other State taxes, etc.

Geez, what a racket.

Oh hell yeah! The Texas State Lotto was supposed to support our public schools… They’re falling down around the students ears in some cases.

There is a lawfirm/investiment company out east that specializes in helping lottery winners not make this same mistake, if memory serves they also help out athletes also so they dont go “rags to riches back to rags” in 3 years or less. when I had read the article, the founder who was an accountant who got tired of seeing the same pattern and wanted to help these people learn about finanaces
