News stories have recently stated that NATO is running low on military weapons. Posted elsewhere was my analogy of boxer Muhammed Ali’s ‘rope-a-dope’ tactic he used to become the world champion heavy-weight boxer. In the mid-rounds Ali would retreat and rest on the ropes while protecting his body and head with his arms and gloves. Ali’s opponents would ‘whale-away’ at him with hard punches exhausting themselves. Then in the later rounds Ali would hit the opponent with several body blows, and when they dropped their guard Ali would land a solid blow to their head. End of fight.
