Here are 18 food processing plants burned down in the last 6 months. Totally normal, nothing to see here …
Yep, I don’t doubt it. Starvation ahead. All these bastads need to go to jail!
I think it was Martin Armstrong who said get 2 years worth of food.
Has this been in the planning stages for several decades? Is there really a shortage of some fish species? First came the cod moratorium.
Economic Impacts of the Cod Moratorium

" Moratorium recently announced on commercial fishing of mackerel, herring, which play ‘outsized’ role in ecosys…"
“There is unlimited demand in Asia for Canadian lobster,” Sproul says. “It’s a top quality product and we have a good trade relationship.”
"Meanwhile, the cost of bait used in lobster traps is expected to increase after Fisheries and Oceans Canada announced the closure of the Atlantic mackerel and commercial bait fisheries on the East Coast, citing concerns that dwindling stocks have entered a “critical zone.”
“The biggest source of bait has just been eliminated from the industry,” Sproul says. “We’ll have to import bait and it will cost us more.”
Tell it to Russians, Danes, Norwegians, Swedes & a whole host of others.
I love good pickled herring. Delish! Still in our stores here.
That’s the sad part. You can still buy them in stores here too but they’re caught and processed on board freezer trawlers then shipped back to North America for sale. These moratoriums only apply to licensed fishers within the 200 mile limit of Canada’s east coast. Beyond that its the wild west on the eastern waters of the Atlantic ocean.
If the UN gets involved, there will be a push to shut it all down. Imagine trying to enforce that without killing anyone onboard a fishing boat. I guess anyone tasked with fighting the “war on drugs” would have to re-tasked to fight the war on food. GMO fish technology is speeding along just fine though.
“The company’s Atlantic salmon is genetically modified to make them grow faster, with some estimates indicating they will reach market size at twice the speed of unmodified salmon. Terrien said the company’s salmon have been evaluated by Health Canada and can be sold in the country without any labelling.”
Yeah, I know about the Salmon; I shiver when I pass by it in the store.
I’ve taken to cod liver oil from Norway & other places. It’ probably messed with as well, but the best I can do.
Add to that the chickens, ducks, and other farm animals (I’ve lost track of them all) culled over the last couple of years due to “bird flu,” and then all those meat processing plants that were closed down “because Science.” No, there’s surely no pattern here…
Yep, for real. Can smell that sausage over a mile away.
I think I’ll stick with the “Yes, something is going on here.”. If I’m wrong, I’ll have a store of food purchased at a relatively lower price.
Well, maybe eggs will become the new currency…
