I had a splinter of wood stuck in the back tire of my bike when I was a kid. The tire went flat but luckily for me my morale suffered no repercussions whatsoever. I just patched the tube and pumped the tire back up. Kids did amazing things back then, not just me. I don’t recall if the wood came from a cross or not.
