There are the practical things of resistance/action such as non-compliance in the public and vocal refusal of the jib jabs, PCR tests for which one will be particularly marked out over the two plus years of lock down, with its concomitant exclusion from and within a relatively small society. There are the practical and easy actions such as only using cash resisting cashless society. There are the practical things of agitating against digital ids, again which marks one out in a smaller population and for which bans off social media follow. There are the practical things being activist in democratically undermining the political elites agenda rigging elections such as participation and activism in a spoilt vote campaign. There are the practical learnings and inheritances received from grandparents and parents who were also active in rebellion and guerilla warfare against British colonial power elite in one’s country. All of which I am sure you are equally experienced. In all of that, there is a key truth and an imperative. And with respect I will beg to disagree with you is far from Pollyanna like commitment or action. Should one’s activism, in whatever form it takes, in whatever cause is being supported, derive from anything other than taking care to tend to one’s spiritual core and to embody those spiritual values within one’s actions, then that will mean a lesser efficacy. For example one’s Christian cultural and national values, if not examined and developed well, then that oversight or neglect yields the fruits of those perennial Anglo American, French and German elite’s/elitist agendas and efforts, That is, precisely because any counteraction, if indeed one has taken any, will not withstand efforts and resources of those elites, and will not have a greater contravening argument or motive force than is offered by that of those elites/elitists and the heirs of their elitism and hubris anywhere in any time.
