How Long Are The Lines Where You Live?

My co-worker here in Houston tried to get her kids into a fairly good-sized clinic yesterday for common ailment (not CoV) and she had to wait with the kids in the car for almost 4 hours because of the crush of people wanting Omi tests.

It seems this “fear” is playing out all over the U.S.

Fortunately I haven’t been at any clinics, but I frequently drive past one testing site, and there is always only one car in the lot - and it belongs to the person working the site.

here in SoCal, with the labor shortages, our system hospitals put out a priority request asking for any people that had experience in admission and patient screening processes for the ER to please volunteer to work in the ER this weekend as they are swamped.

The local fishwrap headline I saw this Thursday morning claims these are all covid related, but since I work for the hospital system, I know its a fabrication.

Welcome SoCal_G and thanks for the info!

Evidence the spell is still in effect, especially with a flat screen television tuned to the local news. Here in south Texas in the upper Rio Grande Valley, the spell is wholly in effect.
Local paper today’s front page headlines dramatized the hospital statistics due to Omni.
Pretty much all wear face diapers though they aren’t required in most places of business.
Most employees wear them.
“Get your vaccine” is big business down here and available at all drug stores and even the HEB grocery stores, Walmart’s etc.

Sad Bill. Not so many masks here, but a few more. Lines going down.
Give them Freedom & they choose slavery.

I have been unable to get into see a specialist for a serious and non covid related issue for months until it became urgent. I was finally sent to urgent care where I waited for hours twice. I never got in, went home, and have been self treating. I feel lucky to be alive and feel like we’re on our own now.

Absalom, I know a number of people in the same position as you, including me. I’m sorry to hear you have no outside medical help; it’s at the point of sheer insanity. You’re right, I think we ARE on our own now.

Absalom - It seems we need to be our own health advocates now.
I wish you well with your health issues!
