Canada would dearly love to cash in on the current high cost of energy but how to do it while placating the carbon/climate cult? That’s the predicament. To ramp up production for exports can’t be done overnight as the export infrastructure has a minimal existence. Is Canada too late to the game? Outside interference has always ruled over Canada, and not just in the energy sector. My speculation is that in this article, the feds are testing the water in regards to reopening the oil and gas sector.
All of a sudden Canada’s heavy oil (we have lots of light oil too) has gone from being “dirty oil” to "…liberal democratic energy and less conflict energy.
