But there are other signs not all is as great as they want us to think as well.
In israel the ultra orthodox have been spared from the mandatory military service.Men and women all give their services to the IDF.
In 1948 David Ben-Gurion gave the ultra orthodox a pass, but back then ultra orthodox did not count as many heads as they do today.
Lately numbers have shown they will need a lot more manpower to have their plans put into action. 12000 is the number of additional (wo)men Israel has envisioned suffice to cover all positions.

But the ultra orthodox´ have no plans to join the forces.
They feel they are doing more than enough as it is, as they are praying for victory and the wellbeing of the forces.
