Texas is obviously being targeted, in more ways than this, for daring to challenge the party line. There are a few other states, for now, that remain relatively free.
Encouraging “migration” is a Globaloney tactic being used on an international scale (cf. the European Union). It may accomplish the goal of breaking up national cohesion in some countries.
In the American case, I wonder if it’s not a medium-term miscalculation on Globaloney’s part. Commenting on Latin American immigration to the U.S., one French observer had a comment I thought interesting and possibly accurate(?): The first generation votes Dem, the second votes Rep. My observation, living where there’s a ton of immigration, has been that Latin American cultures are pretty traditional and conservative. But I’m not in Texas, I’m only seeing a subset, and my impression may be biased since my area has so many immigrants who’ve fled communist countries. In any case, I don’t see the vast majority of Latin American immigrants turning woke. (I’d be interested to hear if I’m wrong. I can imagine it being very different in California, for example.)
Be that as it may, I can’t see any good reason to allow mass immigration into the U.S. in today’s world.
