But now this has me wondering if Elon et al. would like to be part of Germany’s “New Rearmament”. Hey! I have an idea … lets create a situation where we “build up” and “capture” the military power of … say … in this case Germany, to serve “our” (well, “Their” ) geopolitical ends in Europe. Why, I bet that has never been thought of or done before …
Oh, wait … Hasn’t it turned out that one of the goals of neoconservatism was to allow the power projection capability (both economic and military) of the United States to serve the geopolitical interests of our “special relations” (Britain, Israel et al.) If one thinks for a moment – 800 overseas military bases – “we the people” are in a great many places, doing a great many things that “we the people” have absolutely no basis (national security or otherwise) for either being there or doing anything. The truly sad thing is these “activities” have been going on for a very, very, very long time. See David Hunter Miller’s My Diary at the Conference of Paris (with Documents) or Charles Higham’s American Swastika … or any non-hagiographic literature on The Brothers Dulles … e.g. Stephen Kinzer’s The Brothers. One description of the book reads that The Brothers is “a riveting chronicle of government-sanctioned murder, casual elimination of “inconvenient” regimes, relentless prioritization of American corporate interests and cynical arrogance on the part of two men who were once among the most powerful in the world.” Hopefully this is NOT any part of what is meant by Make America Great Again.
