It disturbs me that we spend more and more for weapons and systems that work less than as advertised. Our bang for the buck is decreasing.

No kidding, that does seem like a high price considering the aircraft already exists (is a commercial aircraft platform). I’d like to read the specifications to see just what they want this thing to do. It almost seems like they may be paying for something else more than a plane development. But that’s not the way they fund ‘black’ programs. Those budget line items we never see.
