Titus still has a birth certificate because if it was ever issued, the original long form will exist in the Dept. of Human Services at the state capital and the short form will be at his county seat. Never assume that the corporation will give you up easily. He chose not to contract with SSA- wise move.
On edit, I have a sneaking suspicion that simply applying for the SS card is enough- you have an implied contract. Remember, however, that if these contracts are fraud (which they all are), you can denounce them as such. It takes insistence, usually 3 times (it is their occult tradition of numbers), but it can be done.
