Being from Ohio, It reminded me of buttons we found at my grandma’s after she passed, I believe it was thus one

It seems we are reentering a similar phase in american history

Those were the days, my friend. We thought they’d never end …

and you can BREATHE in a small town… Check it Out

More than a few of Melloncamp’s songs have shown to be prophetic… The LGBPTQ movement has given us an absurd and unwanted surplus of Pink Houses, with occupants who are easily duped into ROCKing the USA…Cherry Bombing the major cities, sending them up like Paper in Fire…Trust me when I tell you that they Aint Even Done and it’s about ready to come Crumblin’ down.

Would you guys rather tell your kids that there’s no Legacy For You Now, or Rain on THEIR scarecrows for once?

I’ll ALWAYS fight authority, no matter WHO wins. It just Hurts Too Good.

…one of the few who made a good living writting the same song over, and over and over …

similar to people who used (appropriated) Pachelbel and have made a good living right up until present day … It is true … watch this

Yet another thing that was discussed at some length in the chats. Borrowing or rehashing classical music, chord progressions, etc.

Here’s a quickie:

Also, if you’re interested enough (which you should be) check out the Berstein lectures:

If I hadn’t been a member…probably never would have learned about them. MUST see.

Oh dear, dear, dear,
What I put up was not about music. Did anyone read the article? It was about the democratic party getting kicked out of the county fair because of controversial literature they were distributing. I only put that in the title because this is a town where yes, I was born into it, but there’s only a handful of dems here. the rest are republicans. And if this stuff is happening in small towns and the country fair which caters to small children and the community, well, what’s going on in the rest of the country? in other words, we are invaded. It’s pretty serious apparently when in a small town, people start distributing campaign/party stuff that suggests - well, I won’t say it here. ReaD the ArticlE.

Hope they made money on them. Their organization will soon require a casket.

Apologies Anne,

I actually DID read the article and had a few thoughts about it but I’ve said them elsewhere before more or less…and then my semi-involuntary habits kicked in… Forgive me?

As to the article… My guess, as many others have said along with me, is that event will be used (among many OTHER ways) to cancel the speech of BOTH sides. Hate speech for EVERYONE!

Don’t get me started on “going home again”… 15 years ago(roughly) I went off on a tear…exploring articles and Reddit posts written by HUMANS concerning thier personal experiences with “Never being able to truly go back home again”. Even saved a bunch of them that I enjoyed the most to my harddrive. Well, I went back on ANOTHER tear recently only to find that the “dead internet” had removed most every conversation that I could find. Nothing old and nothing new. Only A.I. telling me what the phrase meant.

So now…not ONLY can one never truly go back home again…but one can no longer google “never going back home again”.

You can never google going home again (give me some rope on that)… How does THAT taste?

Back to the article…APOLOGIES! I’ve become a serial thread hijacker! A recidivist…shame on me.

I also grew up in what we considered a small town and I will never forget when Bernstein came to Cincinnati and the children from small towns like mine were sent to the Symphony to hear him explain music. I will never forget it.

Tacky, mean and stupid…. No wonder there’s only a few folks in their group. The advantage of a small town is less people standing in the way of booting the booth out of the fair. Community standards don’t include glorifying death. Now maybe a local funeral home offering prepaid burial arrangements…
