My nephew who joined the Navy out of high school several years ago to “see the world”, has pretty much spent his whole enlistment at various ports repairing the AC and refrigeration units on the Navy’s submarines and boats. He recently transferred to Virginia from Washington to at least see both coasts!
The maintenance of this force will become eventually a drag on the United States. Perhaps time to look into space for ressources? But before that the country must generate LOTS of electricity as that will be needed.
Cannon fodder to get many butts in gear to voluntarily fall on our swords. The old problem, reaction, solution scenario, and why not its a proven formula. The whole clot shot thing is to slow and cumbersome.
