And the AI is learning from people, preferably from birth.
But then why dumb people down for decades first?
That makes no sense to me.

That’s a good question, no idea what the answer could be don’t know much about anyone who is developing AI or intentionally dumbing down people for decades.

A benevolent AI would most likely seek to eliminate anyone who is doing the later, I would hope.

@Sphinx Perhaps dumbing people down first makes AI more easily acceptable to the masses.

It goes with the whole Alien threat narrative that A.I. can be used as a weapon to save humanity.
