If you were to host

Someone interested in persuing education in your region, do you extend the help (this person would be fully qualified) or do you call yourself “political agnostic” and walk away?

Asking for a friend.

Can you explain more what you are asking about this?

I have to admit, my desire to be vague caught me sounding a bit scattered. I am hosting someone from a European country who wants to know more about the US and my part of the country. If you haven’t figured out yet (eyes should be rolling), I tend to be pretty open about how I think and feel. I am pretty sick of hearing about how terrible our country is, especially with this support for a war for which the only reason to be involved is to shore up the criminal activity by the pretend-ent in DC and his consortium of DNC/RINO friends. It is an interesting time to try to give a positive view of a country in such chaos. Look, I was dumb enough to be in the Garden Club of America, so I can put on a lovely show and play political agnostic (my sister’s term for herself). As a tomboy youth, I still had to put on the dress and learn to wear capezzios with pantyhose (ie, removing the knee socks with hay.)

Heh.

So, I was just asking what approach would you take?

Now I’m confused.

Both barrels, and let em have it. There’s nothing like education, and your european visitors will appreciate the candour and no-nonsense attitude, as they are the most correct of all people. Stick up a poster of old trumperino in his winning underpants and put pineapple on the breakfast pizza, just to be sure. It’s better to be kitsch than proud, if you actually like them. Just don’t expect a return invitation

Well… thinking since it is TX, probably needs to be pineapple on the breakfast TACOS. I never know if introducing real Tex Mex is a good idea.

Thanks for explaining more, I’m still kind of confused like @WuWu lol but I think I understand some of what you’re asking especially if @dogsbreth understood correctly.

At first your question: “If you were to host someone interested in (pursuing?) education in your region, do you extend help, or not”?

I had thought you were asking about someone who was wanting to be an educator/teacher, not be educated, that was my main confusion the way you asked that.
