In an age where EVERYBODY is SPECIAL and NO ONE is at FAULT ... (art. link at end of text)

Every Spring we burn our irrigation ditches to clear the weeds and grass out so the water flows freely. Every year there’s many letters to the editor complaining about the smoke because they breathe it while jogging, on country roads. I guess they just can’t reason it out, that the hay we grow feeds the cows that feed us. It irritates me every year, it never fails.

We have to burn after all the spring rains when we normally get 20+ inches. In late summer and fall we are dry except this year was wet. We also got more high winds this year.
