The “spoil the vote “ idea was a great way to register a vote of dissent. Here in the USSA, they’d simply not be counted and thrown out with the old tired phrase, “Vote them out if you don’t approve.” which essentially cancels out dissent since the replacement is as bad or worse than the incumbent.

… I thought the “vote” was already “spoiled” before the fact. As the late, great Jim Marrs used to say, “If voting mattered they wouldn’t let us do it.”

“Spoil the vote” is as close as you can get to “non of the above”, which is probably why that choice will never appear on a USSA ballot and “irregular votes” get tossed and don’t count for anything.
