In the 1930s, the Pedro Mountain Mummy was discovered in Wyoming by prospectors looking for Gold.

It weighed less than 1 pound.

This led many people to believe it was the remains of the legendary little people that Native American legends had spoke about in Wyoming and the rest of the continent.

Future medical examiners determined this was the mummified remains of a premature anencephalic infant. Anencephalic infants are born with cranial deformities.
