Does one own a book or an ebook or buy a license to read it? Having a hard copy book in your personal library allows you to lend it out, but not make a copy of the book and hand out of sell one for money. Internet Archive scans and lends out books but the print option is blocked.
You borrow the book and read online. There is no charge and has many out of print books from way back in time. The site is currently down with notice they are trying to bring it back on line. Lawsuit status below.
Not good.
