What lies ahead is somewhat challenging, especially knowing that debit and credit card details are uploaded to either Oracle or Palantir based clearing house databases already, as will local authority charges, loyalty cards, all online ticket purchases etc. And banks are running pilot carbon credit usage rates related to purchases run through a debit, credit or cheques. I have begun to wonder will the digital gulag’s power usage be distributed to consumers by transactions undertaken across all domains which datacentres touch.
