Are they anticipating a tax revolt?

When the IRS asks you for money, just tell them you can’t make a donation this year.

Alternatively, tell them you are not a federal employee and any payments to them could be considered a bribe; which is illegal.

I think we should have line-item taxation with representation. You know how IRS has us itemize all of our income and expenses on their numbered lines and schedules? Well, I think they should put all of their costs (per citizen) per numbered areas of expenditure. Then, have us check-box (on those numbered lines) specifically what areas we are willing to contribute to – and not willing. If we approve zero areas, then we don’t pay anything, and we receive a full refund on any payroll tax deductions that have been extracted from our checks.

an employer extracting money from your pay check to send it to the IRS or keep it for themselves; we don’t really know. They make stealing your money appear legal, with your consent and signature on the W-4.
The only tax collection should be local, in respective counties, forget about state and federal.
It is a myth that we have to collect taxes to pay for infrastructure. The private sector can handle all of it for less at higher quality.
Given, we have a working legal system, that gives the power to every individual to prevent fraud, waste and abuse.
I think this sentence from the article sums it all up, “IRS typically goes after SMBs also because they don’t have the financial bandwidth to challenge the agency in court”
Our current legal system is like a game of poker, when you run out of money, you have to fold no matter if you have the better hand.

Yes, please.
BTW I went into my first tax audit with a laundry basket of unsorted receipts and patient records. I believe I was excused from the interview, but it was fun choosing a cheerful yellow for my plastic basket and a nice outfit with a jacket and earrings . . .

When I was still paying taxes, Obama care came along. I did not buy health insurance and never paid the penalty.
It took me a whole weekend on the internet to gather the information for their calculation sheet that would determine how much of a penalty I would have to pay for not having health insurance.
I included printouts for every source, poverty limit for my state, calculation of average insurance cost, divided, subtracted and added all the numbers. It was an obscene amount of administrative chicanery.
And here comes the funny part, I ended up with a negative amount!
I scribbled on the edge of the form, Apparently, somebody owes me money and I would like to know where to claim it.

I used to work for CVS, 100K a year, vested and was buying common stock but when I realized I was helping them poison people, I left the corporate world for good.
I don’t sit at the head of a table and don’t have to hold it down no mater what, but it still comes at a great cost to do what I think is right.

Yeah . . . a lot of us did-- and a lot more will. We’ll all probably need to share more when we get older, yet I hear a lot of laughter coming out of the poker room from the guys at The Home.
