“A scientist’s drive for artificial intelligence takes on dangerous implications when his own consciousness is uploaded into one such program.” This one’s my pet peeve . . . consciousness. He uploaded his consciousness, eh? Note the implied ultra-materialism.
OK, fine. Before you expect me to believe that, first convince me you [not you, Scarmoge] have any idea what consciousness is.
Let’s hope the mystery of consciousness remains so…. for humanity’s sake.
